Aloha to CVF's Latest and Greatest Arrival, Hawaiian Style!

2024 Summer Newsflash

On May 27th, 2024 delivered at 9pm, CVF welcomed an absolutely STUNNING dark bay colt with a blaze and two white socks by the late foundationally prolific North American sire Mannhattan. This colt oozes with athleticism and we see a lot of his sire's features in him! What a pretty spectacular little package he is as our little Hawaiian guy fondly named Mahalo d'Avalon, AKA baby "Marley." We could not more ecstatic about continuing the Mannhattan legacy since his sire passed last summer right after this guy appeared to us as just a little black dot in utero! This colt is a perfect prospect with his pedigree being Mannhattan X ES Toronto X Christ X Don Principe. We know the future is bright with this one and cannot wait to see him unfold! A Unique In-Utero for Chateau Vista Farm!

2024 Spring News

Chateau Vista Farm, LLC ONCE AGAIN continues to have some exciting developments in the works as we look forward to the future in 2024! We are excited to be welcoming a very unique in-utero type to our farm with the future addition of a purebred sport Knabstrupper who will undoubtly be the most colorful foal for our farm to date.

The in-utero foal's sire is Colorado Skrødstrup pictured right. Colorado Skrødstrup is a Knabstrupper stallion imported from Denmark in 2006.  He is a bay leopard spotted stallion and stands 15.3 hh.  Colorado was only the 2nd registered and approved stallion in this country, and one of the only approved and registered Knabstrupper stallions to  actively compete at any discipline in the U.S.   After coming to the United States, he began training for the jumpers, and placed consistently.  At his first "A" rated jumper show (the "Oaks", San Juan Capistrano, California) against very qualified competition, he received a second and a third place in the 1.10m against 89 other horses!  Colorado then switched careers and trained through 4th Level and competed successfully while with his new owner through 2nd at USDF recognized shows.
In 2010, Colorado made history by becoming the first Knabstrupper stallion in the history of the breed to have successfully completed a 70 Day or 100 Day Stallion Testing in North America.  He attended the 70 Day Stallion Testing hosted in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and impressed both judges, riders and attendees with his athletic ability and finished 3rd in Dressage and 5th overall against a very impressive group of warmblood stallions.

Colorado has a head turning presence and draws attention wherever he goes.  He is conformationally  correct, has substantial bone, a phenomenal disposition, breathtaking and fearless jumping ability and dressage winning gaits.  He exudes all of the qualities that a warmblood is valued for along with the unusual leopard pattern coat color.

CVL Bliksem Currently In-Foal to ES Toronto for a Sensational Future Jumper Foal for 2023!

Fall 2022

One of our flagship mares, CVL Bliksem, is currently carrying an in-utero foal by the stunning Celle State Jumper Stallion ES Toronto. To say we are excited about this future foal would be an understatement! Toronto, an Elite Stallion with the Hanoverian Verband, is a Dutch stallion acquired by the Celle State Stud to further the jumping talent of the breeding program. His performance test single score in jumping was 9.3. This powerful bay stallion descends from the jumping horse producer “Now or Never M,” who is stationed in Holland. Toronto's grandsire is the prepotent Voltaire, a consistent sire of international jumpers with temperaments of gold. The scope and athleticism of Toronto can certainly be attributed to his sire, the Voltaire son Now or Never M. Voltaire looks back on a long lasting career in international show jumping ridden by Jos Lansink. He was among the top jumping horses at shows in Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden and at Olympia in London. Voltaire obviously passed on his characteristic ability to perform to his offspring both in dressage and jumping. He is descended from the legendary Furioso II who like none before him influenced Germany's horse populations by producing offspring with enormous versatility and various purposes.
