Keeping that top call movement in the family for breeding exquisite future hunters
"Indy" or Mary Dean is a foundation mare being the classic American Thoroughbred. Her roots come from top Jockey Club athletes. Her father, Activist, still stands at his farm privately in Pennsylvania. Activist is by Breeders' Cup Classic Grade I winner Wild Again leading sire of 5 Champions and 81 SW's with a total of 154 stakes horses. His first foals arrived in 2001.
Un-raced at 2, Activist was highly respected by trainer Bobby Frankel. Activist broke his maiden in his second start at Aqueduct by 8 1/2 lengths going the mile in 1:34. His speed rating was 106. Just two weeks after, he ran in the G2 Wood Memorial finishing fifth to Captain Bodgit In this year he made one more start in the Grade 2 Swaps Stakes at Hollywood Park. Unfortunately an injury in the stakes brought his promising career to an end. During his career he earned $51,760 from five starts.
Mary Dean also had a successful track career before coming to us just like her sire had before her. Her conformation and movement is identical to her fathers so much so that you can barely tell them apart. Indy has the nicest flat-kneed movement out of every horse in our program. She is the lightening and movement most warmblood hunter breeders look for when shaping the ideal hunter breeding combination. We are looking forward to raising top hunters out of this mare that will be the undeniable winners.
